She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Downing and Stella Downing (Livingston); her husband Charles Oren Sherwood; her children, Charles Sherwood (Sharon) of Deep Water, Kenn Sherwood (Connie) of Liberty, Leona Rathbone (David) of Blue Springs, Edwin Sherwood (Stacee) of Fleming and Ron Sherwood (Kelly) of Independence, Missouri; her siblings, George Downing (Janet) of Albany, Missouri, Ruth Pieske of Green City, Maxine Hyde (Don) of Kahoka, Pauline Robbins, Opal Atkinson of Des Moines and Erma Downing of Phoenix, Arizona; her sister-in-law Donna Downing; her daughter Kathy Williams; and her siblings, Robert Downing, Charles Downing, Alma Keller and Ruby Rose Brown. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
