He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Dewhirst and Eunice Dewhirst (Bennett); his sister Janice Dewhirst; his wife Betty Dewhirst; his children, Donna Dewhirst of San Jose, California, Derek Dewhirst (Emily) of San Jose, California and Andy Dewhirst; his stepchildren, Stephen Dahl (Cindy) of Sammamish, Washington, Roger Dahl (Debbie) of Harrisburg, Oregon, Shelley Kaylor (Steven) of Japan, Lori Anne Harpham (Mark) of Eugene, Oregon and Jeffrey Dahl (Colleen) of Eugene, Oregon; and his siblings, Judy Crawford and Kenneth Dewhirst. He was also cherished by 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
