He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Stephens and Anna Stephens (DeHart); his son Dustin Stephens; and his brother David Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Vonda Stephens; his children, April Thrasher (John) of Salado, Texas and Brian Stephens (Mandi) of Tyler, Texas; his daughter-in-law Amanda Sequeira (Stephen) of Salado, Texas; his grandchildren, Macy, Reagan, Adrian and Gavin; and his siblings, Donna Hocker, Sharon Jones, John and Jerry Stephens.
