He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas McCoy and Lela Fay Bryant McCoy; and his brother Robert "Bob" Steele. He is survived by: his sons, Bryon McCoy of Olive Branch, Tim McCoy of Collierville and Brock McCoy of Memphis, Tennessee; and his sisters, Weatia Cannon of Sedalia, Jeannine McCoy of Lubbock and Jan Powell of Dexter, Missouri. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
