He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Townsend and Mable Townsend (Way); and his sister Bonnie Hisaw (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Marcella Townsend of Zalma; his children, Lynnette Whitsel (Kent) of Jackson, MO, Michael Townsend (Marla) of Puxico, MO and Jannette Lootens (Steven) of Middle Grove, NY; his grandchildren, Jesse Townsend (Joslyn), Justin Townsend (Jeannette), Zachary Whitsel (Melissa), Daniel Lootens and Amanda Lootens; his great grandchild Grayson Townsend; and his brother Bill Townsend (Pat) of Bowling Green, KY.
