He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Holmes and Cordie Lovelace Holmes; and his granddaughter Katelyn Lang Gamache. He is survived by: his spouse Carlois Mays; his children, Dewey Holmes II (Robin) of Bloomfield, Missouri and Tabatha Gamache (Butch) of Gulf Shores, Alabama; and his brother Donald Holmes of Sikeston, Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and by sixteen great grandchildren.
