She is survived by: her husband Ernest Mertz; her children, Barbara Stumpe (Kevin) of Spring Bluff, Christopher Mertz (Sheryl) of Bland and Mary Beth (Andrezj Wlodarczyk); her siblings, John Welker of Nebraska, David Welker of Nebraska and Barbara Foster of Labadie; her grandchildren, Danielle (Jeff Goodman) of Spring Bluff, Danette (Rob Parham) of Columbia, Nick (Shelby Mertz) of Bland, Tyler (Kelly Stumpe) of Pacific, Nathan Mertz (April Murphy), Trina (Cody Meyer) of Gerald and Skylar Wlodarczyk; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Nora, Amelia Goodman, Kate, Maggie Mertz, George Stumpe and Everett Meyer.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be given to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Belle or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud.
