He was predeceased by: his parents, John James and Gladys Rose Detjen (Huber); his wife Yolanda Ester Rigo; his brother John Detjen; and his granddaughter Samantha Schulthenrich.
He is survived by: his children, Herbert J. Detjen (Mary) of St. Charles, Gladys Buyan (Tim) of Wentzville and Susan Schultehenrich of St. Charles; and his brother Kenny Detjen (Judy) of Bland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
