Leslie Robert Sims Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leslie Robert Sims of Blairstown, Missouri, born in Slater, Missouri, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Lloyd Sims and Irene Sims (Long); his daughter Kimberly Sims; his sister Judy Krell (Sims); and his sister-in-law Vickie Sims (Doll).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Sims (Vollnogel); his children, Melanie Bathgate, Cindy Wakefield (Bruce), Becky Cardwell and Brad Sims (Tina); his grandchildren, Caleb Bathgate, Ian Bathgate, Kimberly Wakefield, Dylan Wakefield, Amanda Vogt, Alexia Beaven, Isaac Lamb, Darren Sims and Kelly Sims; his great grandchildren, Cowan Vogt, Alexis Vogt, Amiah Beaven and Andre Beaven; his brother Roger Sims; and his sons-in-law, Frank Bryant and Jeff Cardwell. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A reception will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Garden City United Methodist Church (500 S 5th St, Garden City, MO 64747).
