He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert McKinley Miller and Ora Cloud Miller; his grandson Michael Chad Painter; his siblings, Vernon Miller and Juanita Blakey; and his nephews, Monty Miller and Raymond Blakey.
He is survived by: his wife Vesta; and his children, Ellen Painter (Mike), Elizabeth Painter (Wendell), Michael Miller, Mark Miller (Kelly) and Milan Miller (Jamie). He is also survived by five children.
