He was predeceased by: his father William Hinton; and his brothers, Bill Powell Jr. (Jackie) and Gary "George" Powell. He is survived by: his mother Alta Marie Powell (Reed); his wife Janice Ann Cross of Bevier; his children, Allen Powell (Trina) of Sturgeon and Terri Powell of Macon; his grandchildren, Wes Ketchum (Krista), Beth Benne (Chris), Briah Howard (Kyle) and Garret Powell (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Carson Benne, Kyrah and Brynley Howard.
The family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund or the Bevier Baptist Church (Community Dinner Fund).
