He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleon F. Hammond and Kathryn E. Hammond (Axtell); his sister Beverly Brown; his parents-in-law, S. M. "Si" and Evelyn Holmes; and his nephew John Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Holmes; his sons, Sean Hammond (Jenny) and Patrick Hammond (Brandy); his grandsons, Dakota, Conner, Noah and Zach; his great grandchildren, Dexter, Beckett and Harlow; and his brother-in-law Phillip Holmes (Linda).
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roberson Funeral Home (1107 S 25th St, Bethany, MO 64424). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
