She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter J. Dykstra and Jennie Dykstra (Huizenga); her husband Elmer E. Venema; her son-in-law Ken Wierenga; her stepson-in-law Dr. George York; and her siblings, Marcia Hook, Jacob P. Dykstra, John P. Dykstra and Joseph Dykstra.
She is survived by: her former husband Robert Brondyke; her daughters, Sharon Marruffo (Ben) of Rock Falls, IL and Shirley Wierenga-Huber (John) of Fulton, IL; her stepchildren, Janet York of Fort Myers, FL and William Venema (Kristi) of Surprise, AZ; and her grandchildren, Steve Schipper (Cristen), Rob Huber (Joan), Renay Byers (Dan), Becki Plaza-Venema (Javier), Amy Burford (Chad), Kami Huizenga (Derrin), Bradley Venema (Cristal), Cory Marruffo (Angela), Jennifer Higgins (Chris) and Melissa Whitlow (Tony). She is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
