She is survived by: her sister Shirley Mattson of Winsted, MN..

“I would like to say that Evelyn was a member of the singing group, "The Happy "Son" Shine Family" which was a group that sang in nursing homes, and brought the gospil of Jesus to them. Along with myself, Linda Rose, Beverly Long, and Evelyn Cain. Also attending each service was Evelyns grandaughter Darlene, who Evelyn raised as her own. She proceeded Evelyn in death a few years before Johnny passed. Evelyns brother, Larry, also went with us a few times. I know that Evelyn needs this mentioned.”

“Somehow i had Evelyn on my mind the past few months. I wanted to share a day with her but could not find any information where she was. I saw her obit where she passed away in July. That was probably the reason i had her on my mind. Evelyn was very dear to me and Beverly long. Years ago we had a nursing home ministry and visited three nursing homes in the area a month. We went on friday evenings until we hit all three of them. I wish i could see a recent picture of her. I miss her. and will see”
