He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Purvis and Neva Purvis (Gilpatrick); his parents-in-law, Garland and Alice Hancock; his siblings-in-law, Ruby Purvis, Anna Purvis, Clifford Hancock and Harold House; his nephews, Jason Cox and Junior House; and his great-nephew Jase Bextermueller.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hancock; his siblings, Harvey Purvis of Gallatin, MO, Samuel Purvis (Debbie) of Gladstone, MO, Mary Cox-Terry (Larrie) of Bethany, MO and Brenda Cox (Glenn Dale) of Bethany, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Dianna Leonard of Bethany, MO and Lois Vandiver (Kenneth) of Bethany, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
