He was predeceased by: his father William Junior Smith; his sons-in-law, David Adams and Donnie Bradford; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Welch and Kylie Welch; and his siblings, Robert Smith, Donald Ray Smith and Becky Hancock.
He is survived by: his children, Brandy Adams Crisel (Ray) of Charleston, Casey Bradford of Mazeppa, MN, Roy Eugene (Tracy) and Allison Annette Hileman (Jordan) of Sikeston; and his siblings, James Smith (Betty) of Wyatt and Kathy Allred (Charles) of Sikeston. He is also survived by grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
