He was predeceased by: his father Carl W. Godsey, Sr.; and his brother Carl W. Godsey, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Aleta Norem Godsey; his children, Michael Godsey, Jr. (Heather) of Enid, MS, Laura Fraize (Dudley) of Rena Lara, MS and Amy Keenum (Scott) of Dublin, MS; his mother Dorothy Jennings of Bertrand, MO; his siblings, Belinda Vanhoozer of Charleston, MO and Jim Godsey of Bertrand, MO; his grandchildren, Kirk (Jamie), Camden (Sarah), Cassie, Clay (Sarena), Amanda, Cayden, Hayden, Samantha (Sean), Courtney and Rebecca; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Lainey, Kyler, Zoey, Wyatt and Braxton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Riverside Baptist Church, 135 Lee Drive, Clarksdale, MS 38614.
