She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Robert Pirtle and Lois Jean Martin Pirtle. She is survived by: her children, Shawndolyn Newton (Michael Hornback), Barbra Newton and Troy Roden; her stepdaughter Erica Michelle Newton; her siblings, Kenneth Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Jimmy Pirtle and Lois Bailey; her fiancé Charles Michael Shands; and her fiancé's son Jacob Shands. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
