He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Lee and Irene Doris Moss Childers; his wife Mildred Louise McCarthy; his sons, Randy Childers and Terry Childers; and his siblings, Lawson Childers and Judy Mauldin.
He is survived by: his children, Lorie Reed (Dale) of Bernie, Danny Childers (Jenny) of Bernie and Larry Childers of Campbell; and his brother Kenneth Childres of Vero Beach, Florida.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
