She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Wilcox and Thelma Lou Grayum Wilcox; her husband Freeman Luke Carter; her grandchildren, Travis Carter and Summer Learue; and her sisters, Deloris Probst, Donna Sylvester and Sharon Cullum.
She is survived by: her children, J. R. Carter (Marla) of Bernie, David Matthew Carter of Godfrey, Robert W. Carter (Christina) of Union, Rodney L. Carter (Joanna) of Bernie, Missouri and Annette Davis (Jeff) of Ellsinore, Missouri; and her sisters, Janice Elaine Wilcox of Highland, Jeanette Rice of Kansas City, Becky King (Danny) of Dexter and Debbie Patterson (Curt). She is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-Great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Bernie (113 W Crumb Ave, Bernie, MO 63822). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bernie Cemetery (113 W Crumb Ave, Bernie, MO 63822).
