He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Scheinkman and Fanny Minnie Preluck Scheinkman; and his siblings, Sylvia Krawll (late Albert), Jacob "Jack" Scheinkman (late Cecile "Sissy") and Samuel Scheinkman (late Eileen "Ida").

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cimmet Scheinkman; his children, Allyn Lawrence Scheinkman, Michael Richard Scheinkman (Suzy Kern) of San Diego and Stacey Lea Scheinkman; and his grandchild Linus Joseph Scheinkman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions preferred to Covenant Place, Project Welcome Home-JCC of North America, Amvets or the American Lung Association.
