He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Phillips and Lilian Phillips (Haas). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Phillips (Hermeyer); his children, Donna Wilson of Washington, Missouri, Todd Phillips of Warrenton, Missouri, Louis "Barney" Phillips (Laura) of Kansas City, Missouri and Matthew Phillips of Hermann, Missouri; his brother Carl Phillips of Texas; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Wilson, Erin Wilson, Boyd Phillips, Josef Wilson, Colin, Elliott Phillips and Ivan Phillips.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Church, Berger, MO.
