He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joyce Bloth Portney; his children, Sam Portney (Jaime), Alex Portney, Stacy Portney (Sandra) and David Portney; his brother-in-law Harvey Bloth (Linda); and his nieces and nephews, Gena Stephens and Iris Hinderliter.
