She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton A. Diebold and Christine C. Strack Diebold; and her brothers, Norbert, Claude and Walter Diebold.
She is survived by: her spouse Herbert Anton Essner; her children, Jim Essner (Hope) of Kelso, Mike Essner (Donna) of Scott City, Tom Essner (Linda) of New Hamburg, Fred Essner of Millersville, Terry Essner (Shelly) of Jackson, Missouri and Pam Heuring (Larry C.) of Kelso; and her siblings, Anton Diebold, Jr. (Ethel) of St. Louis, Leonard Diebold (Willene) of Lebanon, Tennessee, Ida Mae Ford of Florida, Chris Brant and Mary Francis Harrison. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
