She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Elwin Higdon, Jr. and Daisy Mae Higdon (Hickman); her husband James E. "Eddie" Brewer, Sr.; her parents-in-law, James Osby and Viola Brewer (Ditto) of Sikeston; and her sister-in-law Irma Coots of Advance.
She is survived by: her children, Fred (Tina Higdon), James E. "Eddie" (Emma Brewer, Jr.) and Terry Brewer-LaFont; her son-in-law Patrick LaFont of Sikeston; her sister Peggy; her brother-in-law Luke Boyette of Sikeston; her brother William "Dub" Higdon of Sikeston; her brothers-in-law, John (Margie Brewer) of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Lan (Geraldine Coots) of Advance; her grandchildren, Joy (Earl Dean Livesay), Jacob Reinagel of Scott City, Jared (Ashley Brewer), Lance (Tara LaFont), Jamie (Nick Allen) and Katie Brewer of Gordonville; her great grandchild Logan James Allen of Spring Hill, Tenn.; and also, Brie and Wesley LaFont of Oxford. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends.
