Darrin Paul Blunt Obituary
Darrin Paul Blunt, son of Thelma Blunt of Essex, Missouri and the late Curtis Blunt was born on January 7, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on June 4, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 52.
Darrin was an active member and Media Team volunteer of the Discover Life Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was a resident of Benton, Missouri. His greatest joys were his faith in Jesus, his wife, and his children. He enjoyed supporting whatever activity they were participating in. He was a volunteer of the Kelly Hawks Football program and spent many years supporting the Kelly Hawks Marching Band. Darrin was a software engineer at WW Wood Products in Dudley, Missouri, where he worked for over 19 years.
On July 24, 1993, he was united in marriage to Tonya Taylor in Delta, Missouri, the daughter of Larry (Sheila) Taylor and the late Stella Taylor of Scott City. Mrs. Blunt survives of their home in Benton.
Other than by his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Matthew Blunt, who is currently on active duty with the United States Navy; by four daughters, Abigail Blunt, Lydia Blunt, Tabitha Blunt, and Rebekah Blunt all of Benton, Missouri; by his brother, Jason and wife Shiela Blunt of Essex, Missouri; by his brother and sister-in-law Donald and Teresa Cobb of Scott City, 3 nephews; Jordan (Kristin) Blunt, Joshua Cobb and Caleb (Kaitlin) Cobb, 2 nieces; Emily Blunt and Ruthie Cobb and 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces.
