He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Cletus and Hattie Pauline Grubbs Newton; his sons, Billy Gene Newton, Jr. of Benton and Barry Don Newton of Elsinore, Missouri; and his brothers, Bobby Newton of Pacific and Stanley Newton of Plant City, Florida. He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
