He was predeceased by: his father Henry E. Pfister; his wife Kathryn L. Pfister; his mother Anna Pfister (Mandel); his daughter Joyce M. Pfister; and his siblings, Mary Louise Pfister of Henry Pfister, II, Catherine Tannery, James Pfister and Paul Pfister.
He is survived by: his children, Robert H. Pfister, Paula Madden (Dennis), Beverly Kearns, Patty Lee (Lindell) and Barbara Tompkins (Ken). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
