He was predeceased by: his parents, Justice Lafayette Mize and Edna Frances Cotton Mize; his brothers, Donald Gene Mize and Claude Mize; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Douthit, Loretta Mize and Nella Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Huckabee Mize; his siblings, Ronald Mize of Marshall and Maudie Douthit of Mablevale; and his sister-in-law Barbara Padilla (Junior). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and his church family.
