We are sad to announce that on April 14, 2020, at the age of 88, Doris Hixon (Belton, Missouri), born in Ash Grove, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Beck and Martha Beck (Gilmore); and her husband Richard. She is survived by: her daughters, Kelley Hixon of Ash Grove and Beth Hixon of Belton; and her granddaughter Brooke McCarty. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

“You probably don’t remember me but my name is Libby Eaton (Alma Hixon’s granddaughter). I just happened to be glancing through the paper yesterday and learned of your mother’s passing. I’m so sorry for your loss. I barely remember you girls either (although we must be fairly close in age) but I just wanted you to know that some of my fondest memories are of summers spent in Ash Grove and the occasional visit with your mom and dad. Two of the sweetest people I have ever known.”
