It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deanna Mitchell (Belton, Missouri), born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on April 21, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Lloyd Murphy and Ida Murphy; her stepmother Sarah 'Peggy Murphy; and her son-in-law Donald Coffman. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Mitchell, Darla Coffman of Peculiar and David Mitchell (Michelle Renner) of Shawnee, Kan.; her grandchildren, Kellee Coffman (Tony Culley) of Harrisonville, Kylee Pennay of Independence, Jack Mitchell of Cresskill, N. J., Renee Mitchell, Eleanor Mitchell and Samuel Mitchell of Shawnee, Kan.; her great grandchildren, Weston Coffman of Independence, Jack Pennay of Independence, Lincoln Pennay of Independence and Kynlee Culley of Harrisonville; and her siblings, Deloris Murphy of Kansas City, James Murphy (Lois) of Stockbridge, Johnie Murphy (Opal) of Palermo, Calif. and Bill Murphy (Calif) of Sonora. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions on large gatherings, the family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
