He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hastie and Louise Hastie. He is survived by: his close friend Bonnie; his son Brent (Allison); his wife Bonnie; his sisters, Virginia Young, Carol Emeola and Mary Myatt; his sons, Greg (Rebecca) and Todd (Tara); his grandchildren, Kayla Slaughter (Matthew), Devin Holt (Rosanne), Haley Nichols (Levi), Layne Irvin, Austin Hastings, Emely Hastie, Gage Hastie and Kale Hastie; and his great grandchildren, Dax and Lincoln Slaughter.
In lieu of flowers, Fred requested donations be made to Kansas City Hospice.
