He was predeceased by: his parents, James Samuel and Zelma Berniece Zumwalt (Wells); his spouse Billie Lee Wolfe; his son Don Zumwalt; his stepson Keith Webster; his siblings, Wayne Zumwalt and Jeanie Lavy; and his grandchildren, Amanda Thompson and Travis Webster.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Zumwalt (Wendy) of Belle, Janna Schulte of Hermann and Debbie Todd (Doug) of Elsberry; his stepchildren, Dennis, Mike, Peggy, Dianna, Beverly and Sherry; his sister Wanda McCardie (Jim) of Troy; and his brother-in-law Sonny Lavy. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Ya Ya's in memory of James Donald Zumwalt.
