He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Gieck and Stella Gieck (Johnson); his siblings, Mildred Gieck Woolley, Marie Gieck Reed and Gilbert Gieck, Sr.; and his daughter-in-law Bettyann Gieck.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Walter of Belle; his children, Thomas Gieck of Belle and Mary DiNatale (Doug) of Vienna; his grandchildren, Cherie James (Chad) of Vienna, Heather McPeak (Michael) of Jefferson City and Derrick DiNatale (Lucy) of Argyle; and his great grandchildren, Adelynn James, Teagan James, Koralynn Lanning, Maebri Lanning, Emary McPeak, Connor McPeak and Ashlyn McPeak.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sassmann's Chapel - Belle (207 Linn St, Belle, MO 65013). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Francis Cemetery.
