She was predeceased by: her parents, Montie Lloyd Stricklin and Janie Elizabeth Stricklin (Flowers); her siblings, Leon Stricklin (Gracie), Sue Luttrell (Roger), Laverne Stricklin (Janice) and Debbie DeClue (Don); her husband Carl Brooks; her daughter Martha McWhirter; her granddaughter Madison Hazel; and her parents-in-law, Bertha Hughey (Patrick), Alice Kane (John), Juanita Turner (Delmer), Charles Glen Stricklin (Dosia), Wilma Medley (Walter), Geneva Stricklin, Betty Stricklin, Junior Stricklin, Franklin Stricklin, Florence "Doll" Dunlap (Dan) and Sam Wright.
She is survived by: her children, James (Brooks), Ronald Brooks (Kim), Rhonda Beckmann (Eric), Sarah Burns, Joshua Brooks (Jesi), Ashley Luttrell, Nick Brooks, Brianna Howell (Thomas), Sierra Brooks and Sue Durrant. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
