He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judy Koester of Beaufort, MO; his children, Chris Hertel (Richard) of Beaufort, MO, Nicole Keller (Kurt) of Wentzville, MO and John Koester (Adrienne) of Jefferson City; and his siblings, Joan Strzelec of West Minister, CO, Sharon Berry (Gus) of Fenton, MO, Ron Koester (Marilyn) of Hazelwood, MO, Jack Koester (Gina) of Mexico, MO and Steve Koester (Debbie) of St. Charles, MO.. He was also cherished by Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or Masses.
