He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Parmentier and Agnes Cecelia Parmentier (Arand); his wife Margaret Parmentier; and his sisters, Rose Mary Straatmann and Marcella Haney.

He is survived by: his children, Rene Marquart (Don) of Washington, Missouri, Brian Edward Parmentier (Karen) of Beaufort, Missouri, Kevin Ray Parmentier (Cindy) of Beaufort, Missouri, Julie Hidritch (Mark) of Washington and Jason Parmentier (Michelle) of Chesterfield, Missouri. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
