It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry David Story of Beaufort, Missouri, born in Santa Maria, California, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William Story; his parents-in-law, Everett and Ruth Peters; his son Reid Story; his brother James Story; and his brother-in-law Chuck Sligar.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Story; his mother Esther Shaffer; his daughters, Erin Ownby of Union, MO and April Lueckenhoff (Brian) of New Haven, MO; his grandchildren, Alex Baldwin (Ellie) of Sullivan, MO, Hannah Baughman of Union, MO, Chloe and Reid Lueckenhoff of New Haven, MO; his great grandchild Jasper Helming of Union, MO; his sister Sue Story of Union, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Sligar of Steger, IL, Shirley Gault (John) of Marshall, MO, Karen of Aguero and Patty Story of Owensville, MO. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
