She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy V. Garnett and Pauline M. Garnett (Collins); her children, Terry Garnett and Janice K. "Jan" Sowards; and her son-in-law David Ramseier.
She is survived by: her children, Lewis H. Sowards, Jr. (Patty), Keith E. Sowards (Sheila) and Betty S. Ramseier; her daughter-in-law Marjorie Garnett; her sister Mary Hughes; her sister-in-law Lillian Garnett; and her grandchildren, Nick Sowards, Chris Sowards, Carrie Diallo, Shane Garnett, Stacey Leapley, Derrick Garnett and Jasper Bradley. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
