He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Rose; his parents, William Rose and Josephine Rose; and his parents-in-law, John and Dorothy Haldiman.
He is survived by: his children, Kristin Rose (Alec Bolten) and John Rose (Julia); his grandchildren, Isla, Thomas and Nora; his sister Patricia Frintrup (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Kaye Haldiman (Tom Torack) and Valerie Haldiman (Jeff Puryear).
