It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter A. Rechtien of Ballwin, Missouri, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rechtien and Mary Rechtien; and his siblings, Richard, Lester, Joseph, Leona, Eleanor, Frances, Velma and Louise.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Rechtien; his children, Melanie Goodman (Jack), Jeffrey Rechtien, Stephanie Defonce (Michael) and Jay Rechtien (Ellen); his grandchildren, Alex Hall, Daniel Defonce, Marcie Defonce, Ryan Rechtien (Amanda) and Sean Rechtien; and his nieces, Nancy and Cindy. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
