He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Catherine A. Heckmann; his children, John K. Heckmann (Stacy), Edward S. Heckmann (Kris) and Kirsten E. Heckmann (Kristian); his stepchildren, Sarah Harper Burke (David) and Matthew Harper; his grandchildren, Grant T. Heckmann, Megan M. Heckmann, Trevor R. Heckmann, Allision G. Heckmann, Isabella A. Benson, Luke J. Heckmann, Devin M. Burke and Samuel A. Benson; and his parents, Marie Rehm Heckmann and Walter O. Heckmann.
