He is survived by: his wife Linda Persov Bartels; his children, Levering Andrew (Tami) of Columbia, Missouri, Peter John (Marisol) of San Pedro, California, Timothy Earle (Allison) of Albuquerque, Kimberly Bartels Fine of St. Charles and Angela (Bryan Curtis) of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Andrea (Joe Waner), Bailey (Charles Larkins), Levering Zachariah, Grace, Ruben, Elsa, Marie, Jacob, Theodore, Desmond, Nathaniel, Eleanor and Anna; and his great grandchildren, Henry and Luna.
