She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Burkhart and Elsie Burkhart; and her brothers, Eddie Burkhart (Janet) and Jack Burkhart. She is survived by: her sibling Notre Dame; her husband Robert C. Weissert; her children, Christie Hart (Jonathan) and Laura Tacke (Scott); her grandchildren, Nathan Hart and Lilli Tacke; and her brothers, Jim Burkhart (Judy), Don Burkhart (Tina), Tom Burkhart (Jean) and Bob Burkhart (Debbie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Louis Order of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
