He was predeceased by: his wife Verna; and his children, Thomas Gross, Donna Simmons and Doris Prater (Jerome). He is survived by: his children, Debra Wiley (David) and Timothy Gross (Cindy); and his great grandchildren, Tamara, Tyler McCoy, Josh, Jayden, Joely Prater, Daniel Prater, Mike Logan (Brooke), Harper Prater, David, Jackson Wiley, Tina Carter (Adam), Abigail Trombly, Ryan Gross, Jamie Liam (Mike), Jase Wertheimer, Sarah (Matt) and Savanah Owens.
His smile was contagious, even through a window, during a pandemic.
