He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Thomas Whithaus (Diane), Juliane Sloan (Tyler) and Melanie Whithaus; his siblings, Douglas Whithaus (Mary), Deborah Einspanier (John) and Christine Poldan (Michael); his grandchildren, Anthony, Margaret, Jacqueline, Simon, Evan and Ellie; and his daughter Julie.
