William Richard Merritt Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2021, at the age of 92, William Richard Merritt of Ava, Missouri, born in Whitewater, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Acie J. Sr. Merritt and India Jane Merritt (Heatherly); his wife Maxine; his siblings, Homer, Mable Merritt, Rosa Lee Anderson and Nancy Walker; and his granddaughter Grace Merritt.
He is survived by: his son James (Pam Merritt); his friend B. J. Evans; his grandchildren, Jonathon (Linda), Matthew and Patrisha; his sisters, Carolyn Sue of Ava, MO, Russell Loftin of Ava, MO and Acie "Butch" Merritt Jr. of Ava, MO; and his niece Rose Zella Myers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
