He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Corbin Mathews and Elva Mathews (Rosseau); his significant other Daisy; his granddaughter Melissa Whorton; his brother-in-law Charles Campbell; his daughters, Cathy (Carl Whorton), Linda (Dennis Turner) of Ava and Lisa (Chris Barnett) of Springfield, MO; his siblings, Wanda Campbell of Forsyth, MO and Jim Mathews of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Amy Wagoner, Brian of Nixa, Shane Turner, Miranda Berg, Ryan of Ava, Alex Barnett, Mary Kay of Springfield, MO and Evan Barnett of Springfield, MO; his great grandchildren, Dylan Johnson of Springfield, MO, Kaitlyn Johnson of Ellington, MO, Chloe Holloway of Nixa, MO, Logan Berg and Laney Berg; and his aunt Delphie Roller of Ava, MO. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests donation be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Three Rivers Hospice for their excellent care of our father.
