It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Trivitt Smith (Ava, Missouri), born in Bakersfield, Missouri, who passed away on March 1, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Phillips and Ruby Phillips (Hathcock); and her son Ernest Ray Trivitt. She is survived by: her spouses, Dewey F. Trivitt and Virgil E. Smith of Wasola, MO; her son Dewey Dean Trivitt (Sandra) of Ava, MO; and her daughter-in-law Mary Trivitt of Houston, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren as well as other caring nieces, nephews and many good friends.
