It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Williams of Ava, Missouri, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Maxine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Maxine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Johnson and Mae Johnson (Goodnight); her husband Jay C. Williams; her son Roger Williams; and her sister Leatta Murray (Johnson).
She is survived by: her daughter Rina (Joe Daniel); and her siblings, Deatta Mckinley (Johnson) and David Johnson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clinkingbeard Chapel (407 N Mansfield Rd, Ava, MO 65608). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Ava Cemetery.
